Enterprise Development
Drawing from the vast experience we have gained from working with diverse industries, our goal is to bring emerging businesses into a circle of expertise, strengthen their current systems, structures, and goals, and set in motion the necessary leadership and best practice support procedures to encourage the businesses’ development and growth.
Institutional Development
We have proven experience in the institutional framework design and establishment of SMMES, Co-operatives, Traditional Councils’ Projects, CPAs and Local Tourism Organizations (LTOs) that support the effective tourism promotion and marketing of tourism products and attractions.
Social Facilitation
Sisata Managers have been in the forefront of community projects management. This is the reason why we remain a player in community development and project implementation. We manage relationships between Project Implementers, Funders, communities, traditional leaders, Ward Committees, Ward Councillors, Municipalities.
Star Grading
Sisata’s director is a TGCSA accredited grading assessor providing pre-grading consultations based on the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA)’s minimum requirements for Star Grading, Grading Assessments and Post Grading expert advice, training and mentorship for accommodation and meeting and events establishments. Sisata is accredited and registered with TGCSA which makes us qualified experts in the provision of the above services.
Special Events
Sisata organizes business seminars and facilitate training on marketing events participation for Tourism Enterprises. We have assisted tourism SMMEs to take part in special events like Tourism Indaba and many other local, national and international events. Also facilitated business seminars including stakeholder dialogue to develop Macadamia Farming as an industry in Eastern Cape.
NEED GRADING?
Sisata provides pre-grading consultations based on the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA)’s minimum requirements for Star Grading, Grading Assessments and Post Grading expert advice, training and mentorship for accommodation and meeting and events establishments. Sisata is accredited and registered with TGCSA which makes us qualified experts in the provision of the above services.
Sisata is also an approved training and mentorship provider for the International Labour Organization (ILO) delivering the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) programme for tourism businesses in the entire country. SCORE is an ILO training programme to improve productivity and working conditions in tourism SMEs through better workplace cooperation. It is a global programme, currently operating in seven emerging economies including different hospitality and tourism enterprises. The SCORE curriculum contains five modules:
Workplace Cooperation, Quality Management, Cleaner Production, Human Resource Management and Occupational Safety and Health. Each module is delivered as a two-day classroom workshop which is followed by consulting visits to help enterprises to apply the module content in their operations.

Game/Nature Lodges
A Game / Nature / Wilderness Lodge (incl. Private Nature Reserves) is a formal accommodation facility providing formal and informal services, located in natural surroundings beyond that of an immediate garden area and located in a natural setting usually, but not always, away from human settlements.
Formal Service Accommodation (Hotel/Lodge)
A hotel provides formal accommodation with full or limited service to the traveling public. A hotel has a reception area and offers a dining facility. A hotel must have a minimum of 4 rooms.
Guest Accommodation (B&B, Country House, Guest House)
Bed and Breakfast: More informal accommodation with limited service that is provided in a family (private) home with the owner/manager living in the house or on the property.
Self Catering Accommodation - Exclusive and Shared Purpose
Self-catering accommodation styles for Exclusive Use include Apartments - Unit/s within a multi complex dwelling and Villas – Free standing residential dwellings.
Shared Vacation
This refers to: Lifestyle Apartments – Multi self-contained accommodation with limited communal facilities and amenities as these are within close proximity and must have a formal reception Area and Lifestyle Resorts – Multi self-contained accommodation with onsite facilities and amenities.
Backpackers and Hostelling Accommodation
A backpacker and or hostel is an accommodation facility that provides communal facilities, including dormitories, yet may offer a range of alternative sleeping arrangements.
Caravan and Camping Accommodation
A Caravan and Camping Park is a facility that provides space for guests who provide their own accommodation, such as a tent, a motor home and/or a caravan, together with ablution and toilet facilities.
Meetings, Exhibitions and Special Events (MESE) Venues
A facility that provides a dedicated environment for meetings, especially small to medium sized events. Dedicated meeting and breakaway rooms are designed for maximum productivity.
